(You know you sang that title to the ’86 “Europe” song……don’t lie……I did)
1 more day and then my world is supposed to be transformed by this gadget that is 7 appliances in one…..I have heard nothing but great things but will form my own opinion over the weekend and share as necessary 🙂
Here’s to hoping that whomever/whoever (I apparently was absent that day in English class) is delivering for Amazon is
- Efficient – will deliver before 6pm so that I can try it for the first time Friday for din-dins
- Mindful – that even though apartments accept packages on behalf of their tenants, they are NEVER in a hurry (if at all) to tell you that you have a package in the office and they close at 6pm…..
and most importantly……
3. In Shape – because I do live on the 3rd floor and it is 4 glorious flights of steps plus a few extra to my door and I would feel terrible if said delivery man/woman couldn’t make it up the stairs thus resulting in no miracle instant pot dinner for my hubby and me on Friday.
Well, that’s Friday….what about today? Well, my daddy used to always tell me “don’t put all of your eggs in one basket”……so me and the hubster are headed to a cooking class tonight at Central Market. For the haters, NO, I am not cheating on my Instant Pot because I haven’t gotten it yet and I have always tried to take my daddy’s advice……..even though the analogy is a bit lame……
The menu is as follows:
Sear/Pan Sauce: Spice-rubbed Pork Tenderloin with Red Wine Pan Sauce;
Roast: Roasted Leg of Lamb with Dried Apricot, Mustard & Herb Crust;
Stew: Beef Bourguignon; and
Stir-Fry: Sesame Beef.
INSTRUCTOR: CM Cooking School Staff
Participants should dress with safety in mind. Please wear completely closed shoes. Long hair should be pulled back.
I’m not gonna lie….I’m a little concerned with the statement “participants should dress with safety in mind”…..are we expecting a drive-by fruiting? Are they serving liver with fava beans and a nice chianti??
Anyhoo, I have promised myself that I will resist the urge to do an imitation of Julia Childs when they introduce the “beeeeeeeffff borg-in-unnn (said in my best French accent)….there, I got it out of my system….sort of……
We haven’t been to a cooking class before so I am not sure what to expect…..We hope it is filled with people like us – the average joe who wants to learn how to make good food, stress free and with little to no injuries involved. Sharp knives are not my friend…..and apparently neither are stairs but we will save that story for a rainy day…..#nomoreshoulderpain #Imaklutz
Must run for now but will be back!!!!
Be safe and be good to each other!!!!
